Gentlemen, Prepare To Defend Yourselves!

Glenn Reynolds recently linked an article at World Net Daily where Christians are being told to weapon up and fight back against jihadist fighters in Nigeria because the government won’t protect them against Boko Haram and others who intend them harm. This kicked off a conversation between me and my son over the response of the Christian church worldwide, a church I have variously called weak, pathetic, pitiful, disgusting and repulsive (I have that right because I’m a Christian).

There is a place in Christianity for righteous retribution.

I do not have the power or resources to help defend Christians in Iraq. If I did, I would already be there. Part of Obongos' strategy appears to be make sure Christians here are stymied and made to be helpless, while Christians there are slaughtered and oppressed. It makes for good training for his side, for when they begin here. And G*d help us, it's going to happen here.

Said England unto Pharaoh, "I must make a man of you,
That will stand upon his feet and play the game;
That will Maxim his oppressor as a Christian ought to do,"

Ironic that we are now bombing Iraq, in part to allegedly stop the crucifixion of Christians (and non-Christians) by ISIS....

Yet we've allowed the same sort of Islamic barbarism to continue without interruption in places like Darfur, Sudan, Somalia, Syria and now Nigeria without intervening in the slightest.

While I believe in national sovereignty...I have to wonder why we involve ourselves in some conflicts while turning a blind eye to others. Is it simply resources and stability in the region of the ME is paramount to our way of life?

If that's so....then we need energy independence now more than ever. Bring on the LFTR (Salt Thorium) reactors and let's starve these Muslims back to the deserts from which they came, unable to make jihad on anyone.

Clearly, warfare and nation building are not working. Energy dependence and properly applied foreign policy is likely to be much more effective.

The Christian church isn't, any more, for the most part. Best to come out of her and rally up with people who actually fear God.

When someone says 'What would Jesus do?', remind them that flipping over tables and chasing people with a whip is not out of the question.
