Yeah, lady, I think we noticed. The New York Times' Bloomberg state gun control law commercial.

Fight on Guns Is Being Taken to State Ballots
I sent this alleged journalist the following email:
What your story completely ignored:
1. The armed civil disobedience that the success of I-594 engendered. There was a rally at the state house in Olympia on 13 December with 2000 armed participants flouting the law and daring the authorities to do anything about it. They did not even get a permit, they just came a la the Bundy Ranch, defied the state, and then left peacefully. They were, however, prepared for any contingency and were risking everything by doing so.
2. The success of I-594 has exposed the fractures between the various "mainstream" gun rights groups such as the NRA and Alan Gottlieb's Second Amendment Foundation as well as between those groups and the "I Will Not Comply" movement gun owners who planned and executed the 13 December event (and plan to once again defy the law in June with a "no-background-checks" gun show in Yakima).
3. The success of state laws in CT, CO and NY have engendered massive non-compliance movements and events there, nullifying those laws and, once again, daring state authorities to do anything about it.
So, by completely ignoring the Law of Unintended Consequences and the indisputable fact of the hollowness of such Bloomberg "victories", your story is barely half of the truth.
Mike Vanderboegh
Again, there is NO unconstitutional firearm law that we cannot nullify by armed civil disobedience, whether the NYT notices or not.

I'm surprised nobody has written about the sea change we are witnessing - at least not in this way.

The NRA abandoned the Second amendment at its core - federal preemption. It embarked upon what is, essentially, an attack upon its power as a enumerated right that is supposed to be observed protected and respected across the land - shall not be infringed. The NRA has been complicit in CONCEDING federal authority of protecting andcdefending this right ESPECIALLY from state transgression.

Now, gun control outfits all of a sudden jump to state by state ground game? They ADOPT the NRA strategy? They will now USE what the NRA actually PROVIDED- state preemption- to impose their gun control will! Just as I've argued all along - state preemption is s FARCE. It IS gun control. It IS the ultimate infringement upon the Second Amendment.

Can we nullify "laws" (statutes) created? Sure, in groups, sometimes. BUT we will be picked off one by one, charged, persecuted and punished. And just who is responsible?

The NRA.

PLEASE WAKE UP AMERICA.
